1. Merchant of Record
All payments for subscriptions to Aethar services are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle handles billing, invoicing, sales tax, and payment processing. Paddle's own terms and refund policies may apply in addition to this policy.
2. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Aethar Console or via the cancellation link in your Paddle receipt email. Upon cancellation:
- Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- No further charges will be made after the cancellation takes effect.
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle.
3. Refunds
Aethar digital services do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period. This is standard practice for subscription-based API services.
Refunds are issued only in the following specific circumstances:
- Verified service outages: If Aethar confirms a prolonged outage that prevented access to the purchased service, and the outage was caused solely by Aethar infrastructure (excluding third-party dependencies, maintenance, or force majeure). Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the incident. Refund eligibility is determined at Aethar's sole discretion.
- Accidental duplicate charges: If you are charged more than once for the same billing period.
To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] with your Paddle transaction ID and a description of the issue.
4. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
Pursuant to Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, the right of withdrawal does not apply to this service. By completing your purchase, you expressly consent to immediate access to the digital service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been activated.
This waiver is confirmed during the checkout process and applies to all subscription tiers.
Business customers purchasing on behalf of a company or in a professional capacity are not entitled to the statutory consumer right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection law.
5. Paddle's Refund Policy
Since Paddle is the Merchant of Record, their terms also apply to payment processing and disputes. You can review Paddle's terms at: paddle.com/legal/terms.
6. Free Tier
Some Aethar services offer a free tier. No payment is required for free tiers, so no refund applies.
